Don't Cry Liza

As the morning slowly approaches Michael Jackson seems to be the only thing I can think about, except now, instead of being full of emotions I am full of questions-silly questions. For instance-
-where's janet
-who's gonna get the animals?
-will tmz begin to ferociously follow Blanket
-how's michael gonna look atop Biggie, Tupac & Left Eye on a hood mural
-will Elizabeth Taylor now come out of hiding
-how does Liza Minnelli look when she cries

And there are a few things I know for sure-

-michael jackson tshirts are bound to be the new fad
-there is sure to be a "Who Can Impersonate Michael the Best" at this Sunday's BET Awards
-someone will say something foul and have to apologize to the black community
-the crowd gathered at the funeral will be monumental
-coverage of the services will give us chills
-EVERYONE knows Michael Jackson

Dear Michael Jackson: Thank You.

Blogesphere, I am back and by now beating a dead horse to death with the unfortunate news of The Kings Passing. What do say when someone you thought was immortal passes so suddenly? After continuous coverage and even some unnecessary negative reflection spun by the media I have found the answer. You do nothing except reflect...

Vick's Girl

Ok, so forget that Vick left the jailhouse today with black curtains on all the windows of his black minivan, forget the fact that he won't be doing interviews and let go of the awkwardness that is sure to occur when he does community service for the Humane Society-all I wanna know is who is this fiance that they keep mentioning all over the news?! Last I heard, he had a not so public fallout with a woman who claimed he burned her with several STD's, every since then he has been dubbed Sexy "Look but don't don't touch" Quarterback. So who is the brave woman you ask?

Her name is Kijafa Frink and apparently they have 2 children together. Musta missed that one

Damn Dexter, what now?

Someone might as well give the King family a reality show because this mayhem must be documented. Everytime I look up Dexter King, bossman of the King Family estate, is up to no good. How is it possible to tarnish a legacy so rich and full of history? I was so excited to hear that critically acclaimed director Steven Spielberg was gonna make a feature film about the life of Dr. King, but that excitement only lasted 24 hrs because now he's stated that he will not move forward without the cooperation of the family. CNN reports:

Bernice King and Martin King said they knew nothing about the DreamWorks project. They said they embraced the idea of a film about their father but told CNN's "Larry King Live" they were concerned about the deal.

"I think Mr. Spielberg is a great producer and we look forward to hearing from him about the scope of this agreement," Bernice King said. "We know nothing about the scope of this agreement. We have no details to say whether or not this particular one is a good idea."

DreamWorks issued a statement Wednesday that suggested King family unity was essential for the movie to be made.

"The purpose of making a movie about the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is to tell a great story which could bridge distances and bring people together," the statement said. "We remain committed to pursuing a film chronicling Martin Luther King's life provided that there is unity in the family so we can make a film about unity in our nation."

DreamWorks executives appeared caught by surprise by the King family's infighting, although such squabbles are not new -- Martin King and Bernice King filed a lawsuit against Dexter King last year over publication of their mother's recently discovered love letters.

Martin King and Bernice King have complained in court filings that Dexter King has acted independently for years on estate business matters, refusing to call a family meeting.

I haven't any reason to believe that Steven Spielberg, in all his genius, will not handle this biopic film with care, so here's hoping the family can come together and continue to be an example of dignity to the rest of the world.

Dick, dick, dick...

If I remember correctly, we as a country joked about how Dick Cheyney stayed behind the scenes during his term as Vice Presdident-he was seen more as the puppeteer who kept his hand up Bush's backside, pushing out poopoo that they referred to as truth. Now all of a sudden Cheyney has realized he no longer needs to stay behind the scenes and he's perfectly capable of pushing poopoo out him self. Only problem, he won't stop. Therefore I am adding him to my Stuff It list only this time with a song bought to you by the New Jersey Industrial Union Council Solidarity Singers Take it away guys!

For the Love of Frankie

For some time now, Keyshia Cole has not been the star of BET's The Way it Is. Almost from the beginning sister Neffe and mother Frankie have stolen the spotlight, now it seems as though she wants it back as she threatens to pull the plug on her the ladies imminent, Frankie and Neffe show. C'mon Keesh-while I understand that your family may be a tad unpredictable at times, we love them and need more of this...

and this...

can't for get this...

WAIT! What what about Elite and Dawanna Cole?

...so Keyshia please reconsider before VHI offers Momma a boatload of cash for "For the Love of Frankie", which I probably couldn't stomach...(but would watch).

Since celebrity babies are all the rage now, shouldn't they raffle off celebrity playdates...for charity?

Meghan McCain 2012

The Republicans seem to be searching far and wide for their next leader. Turn on your television and that is the number one question being asked of the right. "Who do you see as the partys new leader?" I probably don't have a say to this but I vote Meghan McCain. She seems to understand the transistion that should take place in order for her party to survive in the 21st century. The GOP must be able to tackle the issue of relatibility and so far she's about as relatable as it's gona get. Did I just say that?

Tribute to Dolla

On Monday afternoon Anthothy Burton II, also known as rapper Dolla took a fatal gunshot wound to the head following a melee outside an L.A. mall. Dolla was in his early twenties and our sincere condolences go out to his family. I actually was curious about what was to come with Dolla. After the banga "Who the F is That" he came with a pretty decent "Make a Toast", whose blaring saxophones and and echoing chorus proved to be a worthy single. Now that I think about it, I remember ringing in the New Year with that joint. smh Damn.

Check out Dolla's Facebook page. He's a pretty outstanding dude who seemed to have mastered the art of networking in the often times 'crab in the barrel' music industrry. He has worked with some of the likes of Diddy, Akon, & Missy Elliot just to name a few. Make no mistake about those angelic green eyes, Dolla has witnessed the suicide of a parent and the prison sentencing of his sisters, whose children he has since helped his mother to raise.

Ironic?

Notre Dang

Guess his petition didn't get through. I'm sure it had nothing to do with his hair.

Stuff It

I am so sick of these nobodys! I carefully selected the word 'nobodys' because it is my belief that NOBODY gives a shit about a politician whose lost all credibility from here to the highest plateau in Russia and a pageant queen who couldn't find an ounce of credibility if it was hiding in her cleavage. If these two ladies have anything in common it's that they both runined their careers before they even got started. So ladies lemme try to speak in your your language. You 1st Prejan - If you beleive in "opposite marriage" then by all means marry oppisitely. As for you Palin, if you agree with the disagreement of unopposite marriage then jump off that ol' trusty bridge to nowhere and...Stuff It!

Which One of These Doesn't Belong?

It's YOU Ciara! Why the dictateur of hiphop decided to couple with the sinking artist that is Ciara for his latest Live Nation Tour is perplexing. If his plan was to give his show an R&B flair then someone should tell him that Princess RiRi could use some good publicity actually related to her career. While I don't know too many dudes that wanna pay to see Hova and ANY R&B chick together, I know more would probably prefer to see Rihanna, espescially with the recent racy photos that were unleashed last week. So I have a suggetion for all the homies hestitating about this bittersweet ticket - bring earplugs to tune her out and binoculars to zoom her in.(Note to Ciara: Thank God you can dance).

Pickle Perfect

Damn, when Maddona is touching your girls ass, that's a whole nutha level of celebrity. Can you imagine how much fun the three of them would have locked in a closet together? (smh) Picking out clothes of course...

Say it Ain't Hoe

Okay, so while I don 't think Lauren London is a hoe, I can't think of any other word to describe a woman who would desire to be Lil Wayne's 3rd babies momma. I mean a woman of such talent, beauty, and personality, whom this time last year was slated to become the next Halle Berry is now rummored to be pregnant with Lil Wayne's baby. Oy! Congrats if she is 5 months pregnant, as tabloids reports, I'm sure it will be a beautiful baby with dimples as deep as Wayne's cup.

Let Me Be The First to Gay

Am I the only one you wonders why BET decided to house an all female cast this season? For those of you whose gaytenna is a lil' off I am referring to the not so undercover roomie that is Chris, the ultra flamboyant Kyle, and the "it turns me on to see the boys fight" Paul. The only thing that sets these 'cats' apart from the actual 4 female roommates is a vagina. On second thought, someone might have to notify Kyle of this difference as the camera often finds him flinging invisible blond hair from his shoulder. If it wasn't for b-ball totin' Brandon, I'd for sure think this was BET's version of Bad Girls Club.

Sunglasses on Set - 2 for $10

I thought it so approriate to post Ross' I Wear My Sunglasses at Night Video seems how the Bawse is being called out by the bosses of Louis Vutton for sportin' counterfeit glasses on the cover of last months XXL magazine. Ouch! Not a good look for someone whose character seems to come in question more than a lil' bit in the hip-hop industry these days. Here's an excerpt from the letter to XXL where Louis Vutton descriptively addresses their cheif concerns:

"The first is that the sunglasses Mr. Ross is wearing were not made by Louis Vuitton and, in fact, are counterfeit. Louis Vuitton did not grant permission to Mr. Ross or to whoever did make the sunglasses to use our trademarks. The second is that no affiliation, sponsorship or association exists between Rick Ross or XXL and Louis Vuitton. The third is that counterfeiting is illegal."

In response to the flashy faux pas Ross' designer states, "they're customized". But correct me if I'm wrong but, doesn't technically doesn't it have to be made by the designer to be custom made?

Black Kold Madina

And while you're helpin' 'the people' out, check out the star of the film and and my new idol Black Kold Madina also known as Kimberly Roberts who despite the Nolimitesque album cover is dope MC whose unique voice of activism stands alone. Her album dropped this May. title track "Trouble the Water" was used on the film but my pick (which was also on the film) is "Amazing', no really its amazing-no frills and thrills video shoot in Hawaii like The Yeez and Jeez still the business none the less.

An Anniversary Must See

What a captivating piece of energy! There is no documentary that can more accurately depict what residents of New Orleans experienced during Hurricane This film was perfectly pieced together. A child can watch the award winning Trouble the Waters and accurately pick up on the failure of the government, indifference's in the world, and the strength that exist within us all. If you have not seen this documentary I urge you to do so as the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina steadily approaches and there are still tons of individuals who continue to suffer as a result. With that being said, please co-sponsor HR 4048 the Gulf Coast Civic Works Act at http://www.troublethewaterfilm.com/. It should be reintroduced and used to help people still toughin' it out.
